For the Sake of Sadness
When sadness comes for sadness' sake,
With heavy heart as if to break.
Brightest sun refuse to shine
To light the darkness in my mind.
The tears that I have left unshed
Become the demons in my head.
To roam around and amble free
Inside the secret parts of me.
There to stir my deepest dust,
Ashes from a broken trust.
Phantom beast I can't define,
A memory from forgotten time.
Dreams haunt me as I lay awake,
When sadness comes for sadness' sake.
