Opportunity Knocks: Will You Answer the Door?
Summer's already on it's way. So, tell me, have you made any progress on your New Year's resolutions? Maybe you said, "This is the year I am going to write my novel." Or play out live with your band. Or learn to paint. Or...
Here are some pretty good opportunities to motivate and inspire lost and not-so-lost souls to do that which is important to them:
Residencies
Writing Residency, Oregon
Deadline: June 1, 2003
Entry fee: $15
Up to five residencies of up to five weeks each. Residents receive
private cottage with sleeping loft, kitchenette and work space, but are
responsible for transportation, meals and materials. Public outreach
activities encouraged. Submit 20 poems or one novel chapter, short story or essay of 30 pages max, with project description, resume, and two references.
