No More Excuses!

November is National Novel Writing Month! (Thanks go to Heath for the heads-up about NaNoWriMo.) As I understand it, any would-be writer can participate. The goal? Begin writing your 50,000-word novel from scratch November 1st and finish by midnight, November 30th.

Of last year's 5,000 participants, 700 of them successfully met the NaNoWriMo challenge and walked away with completed (and, yes, sometimes terrible) novels.

The creators of NaNoWriMo comment, "Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It's all about quantity, not quality. The kamikaze approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly."
